This may only hold true for the ASUS P/I-P55T2P4, but upgrading your BIOS to the latest version (ver 0203-5) might help. It is in the BETA directory but has this in regards to K6's:

t25i2035.zip P/I-(X)P55T2P4 Intel 430HX chipset M/B, BIOS Beta ver 0203-5.
1. Fix parity error generated when AMD-K6 installed & ECC/PARITY enable. 2. Fix IRQ 15 not functioning if Secondary IDE is disabled.

-- Which is worse: ignorance or apathy? Who knows? Who cares? Most of your faults are not your fault. If you think bus-mastering is what Sanda Bullock did in "Speed", you might be a redneck.
