SubjectRe: howto lock 2.1.40 without networking
Oops, I should have been more precise:
only a fool would try to tell _why_ my system locks just out of the things
(hardware, software, moonphase) i need to lock it.

But i can voluntarily decide in which fraction of a second it should lock.
i.e. it's not a random lock as in the reports i read.

I just need to know what to do to trace the kernel actions, given the facts
that i need x11 and that the disk might get corrupted.
As cleaning disks lasts some minutes, i would like not to make too many wild
guesses about how to do this.

gerhard.
