Version 2.1.39 has problems with characters being echoed. For example:
Script started on Wed May 21 20:35:58 1997 # cat ^q^r^s4^u678^y^p <--- what is echoed 1234567890 <--- what I typed. a^"cd^%f^'h^)jklmno^0q^2s^4^5v^7^8yz <--- what is echoed abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz <--- what I typed.
# exit exit
Script done on Wed May 21 20:36:37 1997
I changed termcap with no effect. This problem started around V2.1.34.
Am I supposed to add something in the startup files to initialize something???
