SubjectLinux 2.0.18 hangs (perhaps an appletalk bug)
Date
From

We just experienced a bad hang on our server.
This machine acts as the main server for our internal WWW, samba, NFS
and appletalk.

appletalk is loaded as a module. As soon as i try to get something
from the apache WWW server. The machine freezes. No Ooops no nothing.

The process state (ScrlLck) shows that apache is the current process.

Is it possible that the appletalk module still suffers from the
wait_queue changes in the rest of the kernel?

The crashes disappear if we go back to 2.0.8.
