SubjectKernel compile...

I could not compile pre2.0.6 without procfs support. It crashed on the
net stuff. ipv4.o made references to proc_net and proc_register, while
net/network.a made reference to proc_net_inode_operations. Either the
procfs config should be removed or these files should be fixed prior to
2.0.

In case you are asking WHY I want to compile w/o procfs support, I am
trying to get a 1 MB machine to run as an imbedded system for a router.
Thus, kernel needs to be small.
