Is there a searchable archive for this list? If so, please tell me where. If not, does someone have the resources to set up something similar to what is available for one of the redhat lists at
http://www.redhat.com/mailing-list.html
This would make it *much* better for all. In particular, questions like those dealing with proc-ps, route add -net 127.0.0.1, etc would not have to be repeated ad infinitum.
Can't we talk the people at sunsite or redhat into this? Obviously, one can't expect this kind of service for every mail-list, but the kernel is basic to all of linux, and IMHO, much time is wasted by the 'unnecessary' repeating of questions and answers.
Even if the archives were to only hold 3-6 months of stuff, it would be worthwhile.
