I am currently running Linux 1.3.57 and would like to upgrade to a better release. Everytime I compile this version to add new drivers for CDROMs it dies in the compile step. Had to run this thing several times to pass the same compilation code.
Of the recent releases, does anybody know which is most stable? Just would like to do some simple tasks like compile the kernel. I am running running the TCP/IP stack in its full glory.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Ben
