Hi,
Does anyone out there have any idea why a program that has been running on my system for a couple of days (mathmatical modelling problem) should start losing cpu usage.
I leave it overnight at 99.9% and when I come back in the morning its at 18% (or something). There is nothing else big running, here is a list of ps aux

I have seen with effect on different computers running kernels from 1.2.13 onwards (upto 1.3.89)
Is this because of something that I am running?
Thanks
