I've been fanaticly upgrading my kernel to get rid of those annoying eth0 timeout errors (on my 3c59x) which cause an endless stream of socket destruct delay errors once I've uploaded data through it (ftping in is ok, ftping out is bad) and noticed that most late kernels for me don't correctly support the hp100vg card. When compiled into the kernel it never shows any sign of it, so I usually made it a module and used kerneld/modprobe to get it activated. However, in 1.3.88 building it as module gives a 'unrefferenced hp100_probe'.
