After a few hours of using 1.3.71 with PPP the connection the performance came to a crawl. Opening a telnet session to a remote host took over 20 seconds. Typing in a remote telnet session has a delay of ~5 seconds per letter. This behavior did not happen with 1.3.70 or any other kernels.
If it makes any difference I was receiving 5 DCC's on IRC which are still going, but very slowly. Am I switching back to 1.3.70 until this problem can be resolved.
