I need a new kernel (1.3.XX) to support my AHA2940UW and also to use NCPFS. My system is an AMD 5x86 133, 850MB HD, 16M RAM, Gravis Ultrasound MAX, AHA2940UW, 327MB SCSI I, SANYO 4x SCSI II CDROM, Diamond 64 stealth video 2MB.
Somewhere between kernel 1.3.42 and 1.3.55 something has changed and when I install a 1.3.55 or later (up to 1.3.70) kernel and do
ps -u
I get a floating point exception. The result is the same when used on a similar AMD DX4 100 system. Any Ideas? (The change may have occurred prior to 1.3.55)
