Tonight I was IRCing for several hours, and near the end a friend wanted to FTP a file from my system. I had several telnet sessions and the one IRC session going. All was fine until the FTP started. My telnet sessions worked fine, but my IRC session locked solid. Couldn't get any response from the network. I then killed the ftp and it didn't return to normal. So I killed the PPP link and did a 'telinit 1' and then went back to run level 5 and started PPP. All was cool until the FTP started again.
This is with kernel 1.3.80 and ppp 2.2.0e
