I've been working a little bit more with 1.3.77, and I've found some problems that should be fixed; sorry, no crashes ;-)
In /proc/mounts the root filesystem is still shown as (ro) even if it has been remounted as read-write (I don't know what "mount -o remount" does internally).
With apm_bios support I have the following problems: When moving my PS/2 mouse, I get a lot of messages (set display ready: Unrecognized device ID). I have configured apm_bios to signal idle times to the BIOS and to the video card (card is DPMS compatible). I have also defined the mouse interrupt (12) to be an wakeup event in my bios. I'm also having 65535% in /proc/apm (Rick Faith is working on it; he said it's a problem of sign extension. Well, Rick?)
Having connected a SCSI tape (Viper DDS), I noticed that a "st0: No tape" is followed by a bunch of "aic7xxx: Target busy" messages. During that time the tape was loading. I think the kernel should be more patient as soon as there's "No Tape".
Also I've noted that the "mt seek 1000" command produced an "illegal request" error. I thought DDS tapes can seek. The mt command was from Slackware 2.4.
For the current RAMDISK code I've noticed that the traditional ramdisk produces strange messages: RAMDISK image found at block 0 VFS: Mounted root (minix filesystem) VFS: Insert root floppy disk ... press ENTER Please note that the mount confirmation precedes the "press enter" and the "loading" messages. Is this correct?
