I'm having major, MAJOR compile problems with 1.3.78 when trying to compile .../drivers/scsi/aic7xxx.c. The problems I encounter are with the new files .../include/linux/posix_types.h. It wants to redefine definitions, etc. made in /usr/include/gnu/types.h. It conflicts because unistd.h (libc-5.3.6) includes gnu/types.h. I modified unistd.h to include linux/posix_types.h and ran into another great big blob of problems and promptly switched the includes back. At any rate, the kernel won't compile at all when including support for my AHA2940UW.
