1.3.77 is showing some spurious timeout problems with a 3c503 card. First, after every boot, I get a message:
Mar 22 12:09:48 myhost kernel: eth0: Tx timed out, cable problem? TSR=0x0, ISR=0x0, t=500.
(This one has been with me back in the 1.0 days; it's annoying, since it slows down the boot process for several seconds, but not fatal).
With the newer kernels, I also get some messages looking like this:
Mar 22 13:48:51 myhost kernel: eth0: Tx timed out, cable problem? TSR=0x14, ISR=0x0, t=30. Mar 22 13:48:51 myhost kernel: eth0: Tx timed out, cable problem? TSR=0x94, ISR=0x0, t=29.
Anybody's got an idea what could be causing this? -- Thomas Koenig, Thomas.Koenig@ciw.uni-karlsruhe.de, ig25@dkauni2.bitnet. The joy of engineering is to find a straight line on a double logarithmic diagram.
