Subject1.3.73 and switching VT's
Hello,
I just had a very weird thing happen with X. I was running netscape and compiling ghostscript on tty3. When I switched
back to X things started going crazy. My color map changed, the keyboard wouldn't do much. I tried to switch to another VT
but the screen kept shifting when I would do ALT-F3[12456]. My hard drive was very active during this time. And before I
went for the power switched I tried every keyboard combination I could think of and ALT-F8 put things back to normal. Then
waiting a minute I switched to some VT's and the screen was white. typing clear fixed it.

I never had anything like this happen when I was running earlier kernels. I looked into the log and nothing was there. And
everything seems normal now. :)

Does anybody now what might have happened?
(Sorry if this isn't related to the kernel)

p.s.
i486, 12 MB
XFree86 3.1.2
Kernel 1.3.73
ELF, GCC 2.7.0
libc-5.2.18
