Eaysy: The default loggin level has changed again, and I think it is a good idea, because it'll force (finally, maybe, maybe not?) the developers to add message priorities to their kprintf()s (e.g. kprintf(KERN_DEBUG "a debugging message\n");)
The aic7xxx is one such candidate. You might also change your /etc/syslog.conf.
