according to an articel in a german computer journal (c't 11/96 p.268)
Cyrix 6x86 up to version 2.6 have a bug in cache management which
can cause system crashes in every OS (even Win*).

this bug should be fixed in chip version 2.7 (but don't ask me how to
find out the version of your chip; don't know).
