Configuration: Linux 2.1.6 with pcmcia-cs.2.8.23 + homebrew patches for Linux 2.1.5 updated for 2.1.6 :-). Everything worked fine/great under 2.1.5.
Unplugging the PCMCIA Ethernet card now locks up the machine solid.
Video/audio synchronization in "xanim" is now extremely poor even on a 133 MHz Pentium.
"maplay" used to be able to handle a stereo 44.1 kHz MPEG audio stream without even so much as a hiccup. Now there is extreme choppiness and the left and right channels get out of sync with each other.
Note that the sound drivers under 2.1.6 are ossfree37-beta6-linux with a few minor changes (such as including <asm/uaccess.h> instead of <asm/segment.h>), and said drivers work fine under 2.1.5.
