Was that just defconfig + CONFIG_KFENCE?

Does this not happen *without* KFENCE?

FWIW, I tried your Image in a KVM VM on a ThunderX2 host, and I cannot
reproduce the issue, so it looks like this is board-specific (e.g. due to
specific drivers).

Looking at the backtrace, nothing seems to finger kfence specifically.

Can you bisect this? It looks like there are ~1700 commits between mainline and
next-20220614, which is ~10 steps if mainline is working.
