This if sounds like it is checking for a channel-nr greater
then 14, so maybe this entire block should go away ?

You are replacing 2 if-s with 1 here, so you should also or
the 2 masks being checked for togehter, iow there now should
be one if like this:

if (tx_ra_bitmap & (0xffff000 | 0xff0))
sta_band |= WIRELESS_INVALID;

Which can be simplified to:

if (tx_ra_bitmap & 0xffffff0)
sta_band |= WIRELESS_INVALID;

The rest of the patch looks ok (from a quick scan).
