Hi Daniel,

This looks reasonable to me, based on what I remember from previous
discussions, but it would be good if you could summarize the points that
have already been discussed in the past, e.g. which approaches you have
tried out before and how you ended up here, including links to mailing
list archives.

I know you've been at this for quite some time now, but I can never
remember the bits that we discussed in the past myself.
