So use a private e-mail address (e.g., at fastmail.fm if you don't want to run your mail server) and then tunnel out SMTP requests using ssh. It's not hard. :-)
I've worked a multiple $BIG_COMPANY's, and I've been doing this for decades. It's also helpful when I need to send e-mails from conference networks from my laptop....
