I try to handle every patchwork entry within 48 hours, more specifically 2 business days.
Given the rate at which patches flow through networking, I think this is both reasonable and necessary.
One always have the option to send a quick reply to the list saying "Please wait for my review, I'll get to it in the next day or two." which I will certainly honor.
