Subject[PATCH 3/4] power: Add Qualcomm SMBB driver
Date
Add the Qualcomm Switch-Mode Battery Charger and Boost driver, found in
pm8941.

Signed-off-by: Courtney Cavin <courtney.cavin@sonymobile.com>

---

The downstream (caf) driver for this hw block contains workarounds for a couple
of claimed hw issues. The most noteworthy is the software base charge-done
detection, which in a thread polls the end-of-charge status bit and upon seeing
the same value (done charging) several times in a row it disabled charging and
starts a timer to reenable charging at a later time. In our initial trials with
that driver we saw software race conditions that caused exactly these issues.

In this area there is however a possibly related issue, in that when the
battery is fully charged the hardware status bits indicates either charger gone
or fully charged - seemingly at random.

Driver is tested on 8974 and 8974ac, with battery as well as battery simulator
equipment.
