You definitely do not need STA, if you don't want to know the details. I think repeating the whole thread would not be productive for all of us.
The short answer you can read from the above is: it is not possible. On the top of that, Jiri provided you with a simple example to answer why.

Ok, we already got your expressed attitude towards live patching. This is not a kind of input we were hoping for though. Could you comment on the technical aspects and the proposed solutions instead?
