My suggestion would be to try this follow up patch: https://lkml.org/lkml/2013/7/11/661
That second patch resolved the (less severe) resume issue I had (in v3.10 and v3.10.1). It completes the revert, to the pre-v3.10 situation, that commit f51e1eb63d started.
