Yeah, I actually meant "Don't ask why I'm testing 32-bit atom smp qemu guests." :-)

"currrent" is a typo, I fixed it up to the obvious "current" so that it builds.

However, it needs more love, see below.
The thing is, I had to do a couple of runs to actually trigger it again which means, it does not fire *always*. It seems that increasing the core count for the qemu guest increases the hit rate. Anyway, this is the whole qemu command:
$ qemu-system-i386 -gdb tcp::1234 -cpu n270,+movbe -hda /home/boris/kvm/debian/sid-i386.img -name "Debian i386:1235" -boot menu=off,order=c -m 2048 -localtime -net nic -net user,hostfwd=tcp::1235-:22 -usbdevice tablet -kernel /w/kernel/linux-2.6/arch/x86/boot/bzImage -append "root=/dev/sda1 debug ignore_loglevel console=ttyS0,115200 console=tty0" -serial file:/home/boris/kvm/test-i386.log -snapshot -smp 4
and it needs a patched qemu with MOVBE support.
Yep, 4 cores on a single-core atom N270. This doesn't really exist as a hw platform but it seems to boot. With your patch applied, I get:
