Obvious example of bad behaviour:

# mkdir A
# ls A
# mount -t iso9600 /dev/cdrom A
# touch a/b
# ls a/b
a/b
# ls A/b
ls: A/b: No such file or directory
# umount A
# ls A/b
A/b
