    And the work distributed is an OS kernel which includes copyright
    material from Linus, you, and thousands of others. The GPL additional
    restrictions clause is pretty clear. The examples covered in the GPL
    even explicitly discuss patents and requirements to distribute GPL
    licensed code in the presence of a patent.
