Never seen this one and I changed nothing in select and af_unix. can you send me the output of objdump -d fs/select.o too so I can find exactly which line of C code is oopsing? (make fs/select.lst and sending me select.lst would be fine too)
Did it ever happened to you on older kernels or with different X server? I guess the hardware, X or some driver is giving you problems, I doubt the problem is really in the poll afunix path.
