Yes ? Who said gcc-3.0 is suitable compiler ?
No doubt it some day will be the default compiler, but not yet.
For that matter, what "gcc-3.0" ?? Looking at http://gcc.gnu.org/ I see *NO* gcc-3.0 being released, only CVS tag of 3.0 branch which aims for stability and release.
