Umm

[root@irongate linux.ac]# which yacc
/usr/bin/yacc
/usr/bin/which: no bison in (/usr/local/bin:/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin)

so you would need to check for yacc first.
