Ugghh. Ok 1. do you have any usb stuff compiled in or loaded as modules
2. can you see if an earlier one is broken

In theory 2.2.18pre12 has the only actual change to mouse behaviour and
its not capable of breaking it. But theory is obviously out to lunch at the
moment
