Don't do that (I also tried and David Hinds convinced me otherwise),
the i82365 is supported in another way. In 2.4.0-test5, use:

modprobe pcmcia_core
modprobe yenta
modprbe pci_socket

In 2.4.0-test6:

modprobe pcmcia_core
modprobe yenta_socket
