It plugs the Linux Standard Base - therefore its good 8)
More seriously its written by someone who doesn't grasp the impact of the GPL license - if a vendor ships a neat kernel addition or glibc addition then everyone else can too. Thats totally different to the old unix fragmentation which went 'Aha we now have XYZ you dont and you arent going to either'
