    No.

    In fact most pentium era SMP boards cannot support MMX processors, and many
    processors of that era have both SMP certified and non SMP certified CPU
    variants. The SMP certified ones have to be similar steppings in some cases
    to work.

    Life in the PII era is way way simpler.
