That's strange. I have performed lots of testing here, ATAPI, SCSI and ide-scsi. Without a glitch. Does the drive play CD's fine if you run with ide-cd instead? That would be nice to know, since the packets queued to the drive should be _exactly_ the same in recent 2.3.
