I know it's something to do with "hdparm -X", but I want to do this NON-DESTRUCTIVELY without causing any damage to the FS on the disk! If I can't do this, is there any way Linux can use UDMA 66???
Re-iterate: IT MUSTN'T CAUSE ANY DAMAGE TO MY EXISTING SETUP OR IT ISN'T WORTH DOING IT.
Jon.
