SubjectRe: 2.2.12 doesn't lock cdrom drive door

Just tested, and my CD-ROM also isn't locked with a drive mounted.

model:
TOSHIBA CD-ROM XM-1502BN

whice is an ide cdrom on /dev/hdc, in a Toshiba Satellite Pro 445CDX
laptop.

Here's some info from /proc, more info available on request.
