With this patch I still get:
PYXIS machine check NOT expected on the SYM driver in 2.2.10-ac12 + your patch.
In 2.2.10 I do not get the PYXIS errors.. I really need to move off of 2.2.10 because it has some serious problems.
Read some other emails in related threads, it is thought that some of the alpha-specific changes in 2.2.10-ac12 are the cause of this problem, and certainly not Gerard's driver.
One suggested test has been to back out the arch/alpha/kernel/core_pyxis.c changes in the 2.2.10-ac12 patch set and see if that clears up the problem. You may wish to try this.
