I've been getting this same error ever since I installed a 4.3GB Seagate IDE drive. The drive supports UDMA-33, but my motherboard (MS-5128 AKA TR4) doesn't. I think this has something to do with the error. Compiling the kernel without DMA support doesn't seem to have any effect.
