I believe that the ISC dhcp client does this plus much more. I use: dhcp-client-3.0-alpha-19990423 Have a look at ftp://ftp.isc.org/isc/dhcp/dhcp-3.0-alpha-19990423.tar.gz or ftp://ftp.isc.org/isc/dhcp/dhcp-2.0b1pl26.tar.gz .
