Why my schools server (running redhat 5.2) kernels 2.2.x doesn't work, I
have tried so many times to get it work but no.. Example I try to run
"passwd" program and I got this(same with when running lilo):

    New UNIX password:
    Retype new UNIX password:

    ------------------------
And the weird thing is that the kernels 2.0.x runs perfectly. So where I'm
doing wrong, can anybody help me with this? My computer is one processor
    pentium-II(Intel 350Mhz), Adaptec 2940 UW 40Mbit/s scsi-controller and
    memory in computer has 256Mb.

ps. I'm not on the kernel mailing list so please if you answer this
message send your answer directly to me (e-mail: jarkkoha@dlc.fi). Thanks
    for your help!
