Hi William,
If it bothers you that AC overlooked updating the makefile, change the EXTRAVERSION = -ac1 in /usr/src/linux/Makefile to EXTRAVERSION = -ac2
I'm running -ac2 (without this change) here without any problems. (Ide based, dual processor, squid cache, tulip networking)
