You probably have the wrong includes for compiling libpcap. The libpcap has to be compiled with the sock_fprog declaration from the /usr/include/linux/filter.h of a 2.2.3 kernel. The sock_fprog declaration in the lbl includes that are part of the libpcap distribution are not binary compatible.
