weird.

I did a

hdparm -X66 -qc 1qk 1qm 16qu 1qt /dev/hda

and - bang - it was at 9.8 MB/sec:

debian:~# sync; hdparm -ItT /dev/hda

/dev/hda:

Model=BI-MTDAT3-1510 0 , FwRev=5TO67AA3, SerialNo=

Timing buffer-cache reads: 64 MB in 3.14 seconds =20.38 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 32 MB in 3.23 seconds = 9.91 MB/sec

try a sync() before the test. Then, use hdparm -Tt to do a cache test
before. I wonder why I "only" have 20.38 MB/sec with my VIA chipset.

2.2.3ac2, VIA chipset, EPOX mainboard, hdparm v3.3.
