this is the end of my current `dmesg':
hdc: irq timeout: status=0xd0 { Busy } hdc: ATAPI reset complete hdc: irq timeout: status=0xc0 { Busy } hdc: ATAPI reset complete hdc: irq timeout: status=0xc0 { Busy } end_request: I/O error, dev 16:00 (hdc), sector 969244 hdc: status error: status=0x48 { DriveReady DataRequest } hdc: drive not ready for command hdc: ATAPI reset complete recover_lost_timer: lost 1 ticks from 40135f64 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
1 tick got lost after an atapi-cdrom reset due a bad cdrom I think. Luckily my patch recovered it fine ;).
