No, but I can state once for all:
I had the wrong version of sg.h, most likely introduced by some RPM package from SuSE Linux 6.0, as Harald König pointed out. I simply got the right version back. Sorry for the trouble, but it seems 2.2.1 compiled with the wrong version...
