This is the same problem I reported on both -pre3 and -pre9.
Michael Elizabeth Chastain <mec@shout.net> replied that he was working on the problem.
!!!WARNING!!! You have to be careful when using 'mrproper' because it will blow away the .config file as well, trashing your work.
